Katsuya Nishimori
Katsuya Nishimori, co-owner of florisity, is a recognized artist and floral designer, who has brought his artistic vision to the Flaitron-Chelsea neighborhood. His pioneering use of botanical and natural elements is enhanced and complimented by his interest in objects d'art for the home.
He has worked with influential event planners and fashion photographers like Anita Calero. His clients have included Armani Exchange, the Asia Foundation, Donna Karen, En Japanese Bistro, Honmura-An, Japan Society, Japanese Mission to the UN, Guggenheim Museum, Lacoste, Lisa Marie, New School University, New York Public Library, New York Fund for the Arts, Takashimaya Department Store, Bette Midler, Alexandra Munroe, Nike Corp., Richard Rosencrantz, and Vanessa Redgrave.
His work has been acquired by the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Fukuokoa, Japan, and the Ramada International Hotel in Gifu, Japan, and by several public and corporate collections, such as City of Seattle Museum, Honmura-An, Inc, McKesson Corporation Headquarters, San Francisco, Oracle Corporation European Headquarters, Geneva, UPS Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta and is in the private collections of Yoko Ono. He received his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle.
